I often explain to people that ask this good question that a batching plant is like a Caterpillar Dozer. In general, you really never wear it out if you have good preventative maintenance and replace the wear parts. However, the newer machines have more electronic advancements, more versatility and added features that might make it worthy to replace the older machine. Last year I saw a 10-year-old China made concrete batching plant running as good as the day it was sold. In the city I live in today, both batching plants have machines that were made in 2008 operating 240 days a year eight to ten hours a day!
